On June 6, 2016, the emergency command system was officially launched at the Police Headquarters Command Center in Islamabad, Pakistan. This project has significantly boosted the Pakistani government’s confidence in public safety governance. It has received close attention from dignitaries of both Pakistan and China, who have visited the site on multiple occasions—including Chinese Consul Yu Boren, Punjab Governor Shahbaz Sharif Jr., and the Punjab Police Chief. During the command center’s project briefing, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also articulated his vision of a "Safe, Peaceful, and Prosperous Punjab."
Pakistan’s Islamabad Emergency Command System comprises a call-taking and dispatching system (CAD), a scheduling system (VAD), a Geographic Information System (GIS), and a contingency plan command system (CPS), among other modules. It has substantially enhanced Islamabad’s emergency response capabilities and efficiency, earning high praise from the Pakistani side. Additionally, the project has garnered attention and been covered by Pakistan’s national television network.
